Bollywood is surely an entertainment industry that consists of extremely talented and hard-working producers, directors, technicians and of course, our favorite actors. In this fastest growing industry, there are many new faces being introduced out of which some become quite famous while others just fail to bag the fame. Today we are going to tell you some interesting facts about one of the most talked-about and happening stars of the Bollywood industry: Vicky Kaushal. He made his place in the industry through his iconic movie URI in which his performance was stunning and gave goosebumps to the viewers!! Talking about his background and family, he comes from a poor background and was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth unlike most of the celebrities. But he is an extremely talented actor who can make you skip a beat with his performance even if he’s in a supporting role like he did in ‘Sanju’.And in fact, despite being so famous, what is most liked about him is that he is down to earth due to which he has a huge fan following.

He basically belongs to the state of Punjab and happens to be from a poor background, because of which his family used to live in the chawls of Mumbai.

Furthermore, his father used to be a stuntman before working as an action director.

Vicky Kaushal, apart from being a remarkable actor, is also a competent dancer. His some of hobbies include: dancing And traveling.

Well, there are actors who instead of having great educational qualifications choose a completely different field, and Vicky Kaushal happens to be one of them. It might be surprising, but he is an Electronics and Telecommunications Engineer and finished his graduation in year 2009 from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Mumbai.

He even received a job offer after completing his graduation in engineering, but his passion for acting and a strong desire to become a fine actor made him turn down the offer.

Not most of you would know the fact that for his exemplary performance in the Neeraj Ghayvan movie “Masaan” which was his debut as well , Vicky was embraced with various awards.

Vicky is the son of Shyam Kaushal and Veena Kaushal,  and was born on May 16, 1988. His father is an action director while mother being a housewife. And he also has a younger brother who works as an asst. Director.

While our favorite actor is Vicky Kaushal, his favorite actors are Hrithik Roshan and  Nawazuddin Siddiqui  and is quite inspired by them.

For his award winning movie massan, Vicky went to Varanasi one month before the shoot to prepare for his role where he mastered the local accent and also lost 8 kgs to get into the character for the film.

Apart from his hits, he also made an an appearance in not-so popular film ‘Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana’ in 2012. And it can be assumed that his fine acting could have been due to a lot of workshops that he attended under Kishore Namit Kapoor, where he did a lot of theatres.

His favorite movies of all time include Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Black Friday, Gangs of Wasseypur, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar and 12 Angry men.

It is roumoured that the actor is currently dating Harleen Sethi, though it is not rooted.

All of the directors of b-town are great but, Vicky Kaushal has come forward to tell that his favorite directors are Karan Johar and Anurag Kashyap and even likes to work with them.

The movie, Gangs of Wasseypur is one of the most outstanding  films ever given by Indian film industry and was produced by Anurag Kashyap. This movie happens to be the one that everyone had must watched at least once and is always on the list of favorite movie that can be watched innumerable times. But, not everyone knows that Vicky Kaushal actually assisted Anurag in making the movie.

It is a common fact that all the actors love to be in shape and work really hard for it as well. Because of which It is unusual for actors to eat a lot of junk but Vicky Kaushal claims himself as a foodie and says that he loves eating Pani-Puri, Jalebi-Rabri, Aaloo Paratha and Chinese dishes.

Birthday happens to be a special day in everyone’s life where each individual wants to celebrate the day partying. But not vicky, during an interview, vicky revealed his strong desire to be on the set of a film on his birthday.

To your surprise,  Game of Thrones and Prison Break are amongst his favorite TV shows.

Well, he’s not the one that everyone could afford!!! For his brilliant acts, He currently charges around 3 corers for the movies. And not to forget, apart from URI, he also acted in distinguished films like raazi and Manmarziyan and even made appearance  in Netflix series Love per Square Foot & Lust Stories.
