Btown stars who lost hit movies for charging high fee

The success or failure of any film depends upon various factors but it’s the heroes and heroines who contribute to it the most. It’s difficult to imagine an iconic movie without its iconic stars. Many classic blockbusters were turned down by some pretty big names due to their high demand and brought fame and money to someone else. Today we have gathered a list of such actors who, demanded too much money and therefore, had to lose their hands on the film.

Here are celebrities who said “thanks, but no thanks” to these exemplary movie roles :

1. Sonakshi Sinha

Sonakshi Sinha made her debut in Bollywood with Salman Khan through the movie Dabangg which proved to be a blockbuster. And after seeing the success and hard work of the actress, she was offered a lead role in the movie ‘KICK’ starring Salman Khan. But, due to an unexpected hike in her fees, producer Sajid Nadiadwala settled for Jacqueline Fernandez.

2. Kareena Kapoor

Bollywood’s Bebo – Kareena Kapoor has been a part of many megahit movies. She also managed to make a place for herself on the list due to the high demand for money. In fact, Karan had finalized her for his super hit film ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’. But Kareena increased her fees and kept a demand that his co-actor Shahrukh Khan should also be given the same amount, after which Karan took back his offer and gave the movie to ‘Preity Zinta’.

3. Sridevi

One of the most distinguished actresses of Bollywood includes superstar Sridevi who was the first choice of SS Rajmoli, South Star Director, for the role of Shivagami in the movie “Bahubali”. But the actress demanded a huge amount of Rs 6 crores for the film which was certainly outside the budget of the producers. On the other hand, actress Ramya Krishna, only charged Rs 2.5 crore for the same, due to which the film was given to her and came out of the hands of Sridevi.

4. Nawazuddin Siddiqui

Nawazuddin Siddiqui received an offer to play a lead role in the film Jolly LLB 2 but the actor demanded an extravagant amount of Rs 3.5 crore, which was too much for the makers of a small budget project.

5. Shahrukh Khan

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s controversial and superhit film ‘Padmavat’ was first offered to Shah Rukh Khan for which he asked a whopping amount of Rs. 90 crores. Such a huge amount proved to be a bit too much for the director due to which Shah Rukh was replaced by Ranveer in the film who proved to be a perfect fit for the role.

6. R Madhavan

During the making of the film ‘Fanney Khan’, starring Aishwarya Rai, Rajkummar Rao, and Anil Kapoor, it was rumored that the leading role opposite Aishwarya Rai was initially offered to R Madhavan instead of Rajkummar Rao. But since the actor had demanded a huge sum of Rs. 1.5 crores for the role, Rajkummar Rao was casted because it was a way above the stipulated budget.
