If you’ve seen the 2002 film ‘Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, you’ll surely remember the face of the actress. Tulip Joshi, who stepped into B-Town from this film, was born on September 11, 1979 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Her father is Gujarati and her mother is American. She graduated from Jamnabai Narsi School in Mumbai in Schooling and Vivek College in Food Science and Chemistry.
Tulip Joshi also got work in “Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai” through luck. Once the film producer Aditya Chopra went to a friend’s wedding where he saw Tulip. That’s where Aditya offered Tulip to audition for Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai. However, tulip didn’t knew hindi that time properly. After a lot of training, Tulip worked in the film and the movie was a superhit.
This was followed by offers from several films for Tulip. One of them was “Matrabhumi”. The film was on female foeticide, Tulip played the role of Kalki, who marries five brothers together and has to spend every night of the week with different brothers. At that time, there was a lot of controversy about the film. The subject of the film was very powerful, but it couldn’t do wonders at the box office.
Meanwhile, Tulip fell in love with Captain Vinod Nair. Vinod is the author of popular novel ‘Pride of Lions’ as well as a successful businessman. Vinod has been in the Indian Army from 1989 to 1995.
The two stayed in live-in-relationship for about four years and later got married. Since his marriage, Tulip has been working with husband Vinod Nair for his multi-crore company and she is the director of the company.
