Can’t Believe That TUM BIN Has Completed 18 Years, See What’s Its Cast Is Upto Now!!


TUM BIN was released in 2001 and was undoubtedly the movie holds a special place in the hearts of 90s kids. Its song Tum Bin Jiya Jae Kaise… is still one of the most romantic numbers for many. The movies came as a fresh breath and with a different story line, it was romantic and touching at the same time.

Its remake was made in 2016 but couldn’t live upto the expectations of viewers. Though the movie was a massive hit but starcast couldn’t grow that much on its personal level almost all of them vanished after the movie. Therefore on the completion of 18 years we decided to relive the stars and see what they all Priyanshu Chatterjee, Sandali Sinha, Himanshu Malik and Raqesh Vashisth are upto.

Priyanshu Chatterjee as Shekhar Malhotra

Before debuting in the Bollywood Priyanshu was a successful model and after giving a hit movie to the Hindi industry he acted in various hit Bengali movies among all the star cast of Tum Bin Priyanshu holds a pretty much good fame and has worked in almost 36 bollywood movies. Lastly, he was seen in Ajay Devgan’s Baadsaho.

Sandali Sinha as Pia Shekhar Malhotra

Lead actress of the movie Sandali debuted in the industry from a music album of Sonu Nigam named Deewane Hoe which was directed by Anubhav Sinha and that too with Himanshu Malik. It was at that time when Anubhav decided to cast them in his movie Tum Bin. But after the movie she hasn’t worked that much. In 2005, she tied the knot with a businessman Kiran Salaskar with whom she has three adorable children. Sandali now runs a successful chain of bakeries in Mumbai called Country Of Origin. She since than is away from the industry and is enjoying her personal life.

Himanshu Malik as Abhigyan

Himanshu too was among the successful model of that time he made his debut in the year Kama Sutra: A Tale Of Love in 1996. the actor turned into a director and writer, and his first 45-minute short film, Q.E.D- Quod Erat Demonstradum won a great deal of appreciation in the indie film circuit. He now runs Films Pvt Ltd, a production house that makes music videos and short films.

Amrita Prakash as Amar’s Sister Milli Shah

Cute Amrita Prakash was younger sister of Pia in the movie. She was just 1 at that time and after the movie she whas worked in other movies too like Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi and Vivah. She has also worked in several Malyalam movies. Currently she is successfully doing TV shows and has gained popularity.

Raqesh Vashisth as Amar Shah

Raqesh was a model before he made his Bollywood debut with Tum Bin, following which he did a string of Hindi films and then switched to Marathi cinema. He was lastly seen in  Tu Aashiqui, Ishq Mein Marjawan, Qubool Hai, Seven and Saat Phere – Saloni Ka Safar.

Manoj Pahwa as Inspector D’Mello

Manoj Pawha has gained immense popularity from his supporting and funny roles. From then he ahs done various films in the industry  like Dabangg 2, Jolly LLB, Ready, Dil Dhadakne Do and Judwaa 2. and is also successful.  He was currently seen in the movie Article 15.

Vikram Gokhale as Amar’s Father Girdhari Shah

Who doesn’t know this veteran actor? He has been known for his work in Marathi cinema and theatre, and even made his directorial debut with the Marathi film, Aaghaat in 2010. In 2011, he was awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for his Acting in Theatre and even won the National Film Award for Best Actor in 2013 for his Marathi film, Anumati. This 78-year-old actor was also seen in Aiyaary and Firangi.

Rajendra Gupta as Iftekhar

         Rajendra played the role of lover of Ayesha in the movie. He is great artist and has done all movie, theater, serials he is into everything. He has done so commendable roles like in he Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Tanu Weds Manu Returns and PM Narendra Modi. He is also very popular on TV.

Rajesh Khera as Shekar’s friend Bosco

The actor was last seen playing the role of Takshaka in the Hindi TV show, Naagarjuna – Ek Yoddha. Famous for his roles in movies like Josh, Tango Charlie, Taal and Om Jai Jagadish, Rajesh had had quite a colourful career over the years.

He has made a mark in Indian television by appearing in shows like C.I.D, Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin and Left Right Left. Rajesh was also a part of the successful Netflix original series, Sense8.

Navneet Nishan as Ayesha

Navneet played the role of Pia’s friend in the movie and now she was last seen in the movie Qarib Qarib Singlle, playing the role of Mrs Saluja. She has done a lot of funny roles and is also a recongnised actress.
